Camping Reservations

Making a reservation at a South Carolina State Park has never been easier!

Reservations at state parks may be made up to 11 months in advance.  There are three convenient ways to make reservations at South Carolina State Parks:

  • Call toll free 1-866-345-PARK (7275) 
  • Online at this website, by clicking here
  • At the park of your choice, by calling the park directly

Reservations for group camps or primitive camping must still be made through the state parks.

Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. For example: If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.

Check-in/Check-out Policy

  • Check-in for camping is 2 p.m.
  • Check-out for camping is 12 noon

Length of Stay

  • Maximum length of stay on a particular site during periods of high demand is 14 nights. Longer stays are allowed during periods of less demand
  • Camping parties may not register for more than 42 nights of any 49 consecutive night period. At parks along the Savannah River and its lakes, no more than 28 nights out of a 60 consecutive night period.

Pets

  • Pets are allowed in the campground area of state parks, but must be on a leash or other physical restraint at all times.
