Pets are not allowed in the cabin or the cabin area. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

What are the park’s hours of operation?

During Standard Time the park is open daily from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., however the park remains open till 8 p.m. on Friday.  During Daylight Savings Time the park is open daily from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Is there a park admission?

No, there is no admission to enter the park.

What are the park’s office hours?

The office hours are 11 a.m. - noon and 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. daily.

How many cabins does the park have and how many people do the cabins sleep?

The park has one cabin that can sleep up to 10 people. 

How many campsites does the park have and are any campsites on the water?

The park offers 24 campsites, 10 include individual water and electric hookups, while a tent area with 10 sites includes central water and individual fire rings. Backcountry trailside camping is allowed at 4 designated sites along Raven Rock Hiking Trail. Backcountry site # 3 is the park’s only campsite on the water.

Are there any trails at Keowee-Toxaway?

The park has 2 hiking trails. The Raven Rock Hiking Trail and the Natural Bridge Nature Trail share the same trailhead located directly behind the Jocassee Gorges Visitor Center. The strenuous Raven Rock Trail is a 4.1 mile trail with a walking time of three hours. The moderately strenuous Natural Bridge Nature Trail is a 1.5 mile loop with a walking time of 45 minutes. The park also has a short unnamed trail that begins at the tent camping area and allows campers access to the shores of Lake Keowee

What is the elevation at the park?

The elevation ranges from 800 feet at the shores of Lake Keowee to 1,175 feet above sea level at the highest peak within the park boundaries.

Does the park have a boat ramp?

No. However, Fall Creek Landing on Lake Keowee is within 5 miles of driving distance from the park.

How many acres of land is the park?

1000

Where is the park’s Ultimate Outsider stamp located?

Our Ultimate Outsider stamp is located on the back side of the orientation kiosk located in the lower level parking lot of the park office.
