Things To Do

  • Fishing Information: Fishing may be enjoyed in the park’s 54-acre lake or in the black waters of the Little Pee Dee River. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.

  • Fishing Pier: A 75-foot dock/pier is available at the park for fishing on the park lake.

  • Boating and Boat Access: A boat ramp provides private boat access to the park lake. Private boats are restricted to an electric trolling motor. Gas powered motors are not allowed.
  • Canoe/Kayak Rentals: Canoes and kayaks with life jackets and paddles are available for rental for $10/hr.

  • Boat Ramp: Yes

  • Park Store/Gift Shop: Limited retail items may be purchased from the park office.

  • Playground: The playground is located in the day-use area of the park, near the lake.

  • Bird Watching: The best places for birdwatching at the park are along the banks of Lake Norton and on the park nature trail.

  • Geocaching: Geocaching is permitted. Several geocaches are located on the park. For more information visit the official geocaching website.

  • Biking: Yes
  • Birding: Yes
  • Walking/Nature Trails: The Beaver Pond Nature Trail can be accessed from the park road or from the campground. This 1.3-mile trail to a beaver pond loops back to the original point of entry.

  • Biking Trails: Visitors may ride their bicycles along the paved park roads.
