Oconee State Park has all of the perks of a relaxing mountain getaway. Rustic, CCC-era cabins, family
campgrounds and a lake with a swimming hole, canoe rentals and fishing opportunities are only a sample of the park’s offerings.
Several, wooded nature trails wind through the foothills region and serve as the southern trailhead for
South Carolina’s Foothills Trail, an 80-mile wilderness hike on the Blue Ridge Escarpment.
Oconee is the perfect place for a family getaway with nostalgic activities such as square dancing during the summer months, fourth of July festivities and other holiday events.
