Hickory Knob State Resort Park

Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in Strom Thurmond Lake for several species of bass, hybrid, crappie, perch and stripers.

A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.

Boating and Boat Access: A boat ramp provides private boat access to Strom Thurmond Lake. An admission fee applies to the boat ramp area for day-use visitors, overnight guest may use the boat ramp at no charge.

Boat docks are available for overnight guest on a first-come, first-served basis.
Boat Rentals: Non-motorized fishing boats rent for $12/day.

Kayaks rent for $3/30 minutes; $5/hour; $7/half day or $12/day.
Paddling: Yes

Playground Equipment: Yes
Restaurant: A full service restaurant is located at the southern end of the Lodge building.

It serves buffet style as well as menu orders three times a day, seven days a week and can seat up to 150 people in the main dining area.

The Bordeaux Dining Room, located adjacent to the main dining area, is available for rentals by groups for special meetings or occasions. It will seat up to 100 people.
Park Store/Gift Shop: The gift shop offers a variety of souvenir items.

Other Facilities and Activities: An archery range and tennis courts are available at no charge for overnight guest.

Skeet shooting is by reservation only and cost $11-16/round.

Overview: Golfers of all levels will enjoy this picturesque championship layout. Cut through a pine forest along the shores of Strom Thurmond Lake this challenging course was designed by Tom Jackson.

Facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course, clubhouse, practice green, driving range, pro shop and lounge.

Bike Trails: The challenging bike/hiking trail which is approximately 12 miles in length, travels through a pine forest, along the lake's edge providing opportunities for many scenic lake views.
