  • Snakes of South Carolina

    Join us at Sesquicentennial State Park to find out more about the fascinating lives of snakes. Participants will uncover local myths associated with our slithering friends and discover what makes them so helpful to humans and the environment. We will learn some cool facts about these amazing reptiles and how to recognize the six venomous snakes in the Palmetto State. This program is designed for ages 5 and older and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required. To register call (803-)788-2706 or email sesqui@scprt.com.

  • Winter Backyard Birds

    Join the Park Ranger for a slide show about common winter backyard birds found in Lee and surrounding counties.

  • Hands-On Nature: Pine Needle Basket Workshop

    Join the Park Ranger at Lee to learn how to make a basket out of pine needles. Participants will first learn how to collect and clean pine needles. Participants will then begin making a basket in class and will be able to take supplies to continue working on their baskets at home. Appropriate for ages 13 and up. Fee includes project materials. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.
