FISHING

• Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in the parks' 20-acre and 12-acre lakes for bass, bream and catfish. (Trout when stocked in winter months).
  
  A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.
  
  

BOATING

• Boating and Boat Access: Private boats are not allowed on the park lake.
  However rental fishing boats are available.
  
  
• Canoe Rentals: Canoes are available to rent for $20/day ;
  $10/half day
• Pedal Boat Rentals: Pedal boat rentals are available to rent year-round at $5/hr.
• Boat Rentals: Non-motorized fishing boats available to rent for $20/day or $10/half day.
  
  
• Paddling: Yes

THINGS TO DO

• Picnic Area and Shelters: Four picnic shelters are available for family or other group gatherings. Each shelter may be reserved for $25-38/day.
  
  If shelters are not reserved, guests may use on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.
  
  Note: Admission fee is not included in shelter price. Rates listed do not include applicable tax and nonrefundable transaction fee.

• Park Store/Gift Shop: The park store/park office includes limited grocery items, souvenirs, camping supplies and firewood.
  
  It is open year-round M-Fr 9am-5pm; Sa-Su 11am-noon and 4-5pm.

• Swimming Area: Seasonal lake swimming is offered upon availability of lifeguards.
  
  The swimming area will open Memorial Day weekend Saturday, May 23, 2009 until Monday, May 25, 2009. The swimming area will stay open five days a week (Wed–Su) starting Saturday, June 6 until August 16, 2009. Weekends only after August 16 until Labor Day Monday.
  
  Swimming area hours of operation are 10am until 5:30pm. Check with the park before making final plans.
  
  
• Other Facilities and Activities: Carpet golf located in the campground area is available year round. From Memorial Day to Labor Day the equipment can be rented at the carpet golf attendant's building from 2pm-8pm W-Sa and 9am-5pm on Su. At all other times, equipment can be rented at the park office during normal office hours.

TRAILS

• Hiking Trails: Oconee has six nature/hiking trails originating in the park. The Oconee Trail, Old Waterwheel Trail and Lake Trail are loop trails within park boundaries. The Hidden Falls Trail and Tamassee Knob Trail are out-and-back trails that begin in the park and travel to U.S. Forest Service property. The park is an access point to the Foothills Trail.
