Fishing Information: A half-mile trail provides access to Lake Keowee where guests enjoy fishing for bass, bream, crappie and catfish. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.

Boating and Boat Access: Boat access to Lake Keowee is five miles from the park.

Picnic Area and Shelters: Five picnic shelters are available for family or other group gatherings. Each shelter may be reserved for $20-25/day. The shelters accommodate 24 to 36 people, depending on the shelter reserved.
If shelters are not reserved, guests may use on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Visitor Centers: The Jocassee Gorges Visitor Center houses exhibits about the region's extraordinary natural diversity, the region's importance as a scientific research destination, the history of the people who lived here in the past and features a three-dimensional topographic map of the region.
Hours of operation: Daily from 11am-Noon and 4pm-5pm.
