Self-guided Packages

Self-guided experiences give students more insight to the resources of the park than just the outdoor exhibits alone.

History Time!

Younger students have the opportunity to experience the History Trail with directed activities through the History Time Activity Book. Activities help students learn more about the early inhabitants of this site, from pre-historic Native Americans to the English settlers. Students will be challenged to find answers in signs, outdoor exhibits and the activity book, as well as discuss their thoughts with their group. As they fill in answers and color historic scenes, they create their own souvenir of their trip to Charles Towne Landing, the birthplace of Carolina. History Time! is recommended for grades 3 to 8. $6 per person. Price includes admission to the park.

Animal Time!

Younger students have the opportunity to experience the Animal Forest with directed activities through the Animal Forest Activity Book. Activities help students learn more about the animals that they are seeing, engage them along the trail, and help them create their own souvenir of their trip to Charles Towne Landing’s Animal Forest. Animal Time! is recommended for grades K to 5. $6 per person.  Price includes admission to the park.

Echoes of the Past

The 22-stop audio tour helps older students gain a better understanding of the historical resources of the site. Following the History Trail and outdoor exhibits along the way, students will listen to archaeologists and historians discuss the significance of the resources in front of them. The audio tour is recommended for grades 5 and up. $8 per person.  Price includes admission to the park.

Investigating History!

This package includes the audio tour of “Echoes of the Past” and a souvenir gift bag. This all-in-one package will save time and money! The audio tour is recommended for grades 5 and up. $10 per person.  Price includes admission to the park.

Groups that can attend on Mondays and Tuesdays will receive 25% off all package rates.
