Park Passport Plus

PURCHASE YOUR PASSPORT PLUS ONLINE!

South Carolina State Parks are now offering the Park Passport Plus, a program that complements the traditional Park Passport, but also includes a number of added features.

In addition to free admission per passenger vehicle to all state parks, the new $99 Park Passport Plus provides:

       
  • free admission to regularly-scheduled historic home tours at Redcliffe, Rose Hill and Hampton plantations; (maximum 4 people per visit)
  • free admission to select park programs; (maximum 4 people per program - programs are designated on website with PPP logo or call the park to inquire)
  • free admission to the historic lighthouse at Hunting Island State Park;
  • free admission to the historic Atalaya castle at Huntington Beach State Park;
  • free weekend admission to the Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival held every September at the castle; (maximum 4 people)
  • free swimming at Paris Mountain, Oconee and Table Rock state parks, (maximum 4 people per visit)
  • free range balls at Cheraw State Park Golf Course or Hickory Knob State Park Golf Course, and
  • a $10 State Park Service Gift Card to use for park reservations.

Statewide Park Passport

The entire South Carolina State Park system is yours to enjoy with a Park Passport. These passports are a great way to experience all the beauty of our state. The cost is only $75.00 and entitles the owners to free and unlimited entry into all South Carolina State Parks.

The hangtag pass is valid for one year from the date of purchase and can be transferred from one vehicle to another. Purchase your park passport online or by visiting a South Carolina state park office.

Passenger Vehicles that seat 16 or more are not eligible for a Park Passport.

Inland Park Passport

The Inland Park Passport provides unlimited entry to the 42 inland state parks for a period of 12 months.  The cost is only $50 and entitles the owners to free and unlimited entry into all inland parks that charge an entrance fee.  

The state parks that are EXCLUDED from this passport are:  Myrtle Beach State Park, Huntington Beach State Park, Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site, Edisto Beach State Park and Hunting Island State Park.

Passenger Vehicles that seat 16 or more are not eligible for a Park Passport.

Palmetto Passport

At half the cost of the regular State Park Passport, the Palmetto Passport is a privilege offered to senior citizen (age 65 and older), blind and disabled residents of South Carolina. It can be purchased at any South Carolina state park or at the Park Service central office in Columbia, South Carolina by citizens who show proof of eligibility.  Our central office is located at:

Provided the qualifying person is present, all persons occupying a vehicle with the Palmetto Passport displayed will be admitted to state parks without additional charge of admission. A park employee may request identification of the passport holder at the time the passport is presented.

These passports cannot be purchased online. You may purchase at any South Carolina State Park office or by calling 803-734-0156. 


Seven-Day Passport

The Park Service has also added a 7-day pass option.  The inland 7-day pass is $35 and includes entrance to 42 state parks for a period of seven days, excluding:  Myrtle Beach State Park, Huntington Beach State Park, Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site, Edisto Beach State Park and Hunting Island State Park.

The 7-day statewide pass is $50 and includes unlimited entry to all 47 parks statewide for a period of seven days.
