Several prominent families of Colonial and Antebellum South Carolina lived at Hampton Plantation, including Rutledges, Horrys and Pinckneys. Today, the mansion stands as a testament to the wealth and power of these families as well as the craftsmanship of the builders. Tours include a study of the architecture and evolution of the house, as seen in the open walls and unfurnished rooms, as well as personal insight into the people that called Hampton home.

  • Meeting Place : The tour starts at the mansion, but you must purchase your ticket at the ranger station.
  • What to Bring : Insect repellent if you plan on walking the grounds.
  • Park Passport Plus
  • Event Hours : House tours are about 40 minutes long and are offered on Saturday and Sunday at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. And on Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 12pm and 2pm. The last tour of the day begins at 2pm.
  • Fee : $7.50/adult, $3.50/child, $3.75/SC senior. Please stop by the Ranger Station to pay.
