Soldiers for the King

Not all American settlers fought for their independence from Great Britain. Many remained loyal to their country and took up arms against their neighbors. Join us at Musgrove Mill State Historic Site to learn about these Loyalists and their role in the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution. The event will feature living history demonstrations that show how loyalists were recruited and trained in the British Army, and will include weapons and tactics demonstration used by the British during the Revolutionary War in the Carolina Backcountry. his event is part of the South Carolina State Park Service's 75th Anniversary Celebration.
