Discovering Croft's Military Training Camp

Croft State Natural Area has its origins in military history. Once known as Camp Croft, an infantry replacement training center, the land was turned over to the South Carolina Forestry Commission after the training center was shut down after World War II. Through pictures and stories, we will discuss the role Camp Croft played during World War II. We are always looking for stories, memorabilia and first hand accounts, so if you experienced Camp Croft or know someone who did, we encourage you to come and share your stories.
