Nature Detective in the Forest
In this one-day camp, spend the day with a ranger, using detective skills to get to know forest creatures and their habitats. Participants will go on a forest scavenger hunt, do a one-square-meter investigation of the forest, use clues to identify trees, birds and reptiles, play games, and use the park lab's Enviroscape. Everyone takes home a pine cone birdfeeder, forest ID booklet, bandana, and their own bug jar/magnifier (without the bug). Bring lunch and a drink. Completed registration form and pre-payment required. Fee. $25. Limit 16 participants.
