Bring a chair or a blanket and plan to spend the day enjoying the natural beauty of the park’s surroundings while listening to original humorist stories, tellers of tall tales and music. Performers include: Kim Weitkamp, who “weaves the threads of her stories into a single tapestry full of singular characters, fantastic situations, and heartfelt wisdom – all the best a storyteller can offer”. Williamsburg Theater Andy Offutt Irwin, described by The Virginia Gazette, Williamsburg, VA, as “one of the funniest storytellers in the nation”. An American storyteller, arts educator, singer- songwriter and humorist, Andy frequently collaborates with Kim on various projects and performances. They will be joined by other storytellers including Cathy Jo Jassen and Fynn Crooks.
Vendors providing food, drink and original handcrafted works of art will dot the park to meet the needs of visitors.
