Park admission is free. Saturday tours are $5 for adults, $2.50 for SC Seniors, disabled and military. Children under six and anyone wearing an Ultimate Outsider shirt are free.

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet.

  • Programs and Guided Tours: Scheduled daily tours and prearranged guided tours are available at $5/person. Check out the programs and events page for upcoming living history programs. Visitors may take a self-guided tour by reading the waysides stationed throughout the park at no charge.

  • Museum: Casualties Exhibit: A permanent exhibit in the old relic room at the Memorial Grounds uses illustrated interpretive panels to tell the stories of the casualties from the Battle of Rivers Bridge. Four large panels name the soldiers from both North and South who lost their lives in the battle.
  • Burial Sites and Cemeteries: Four cemeteries are located throughout the park. One cemetery holds the Confederate dead from the battle of Rivers Bridge. Another cemetery holds WWII veterans. The other two cemeteries are private family cemeteries of the Breland and Ayers families.

  • Battlefield: Yes
  • Civil War History: Rivers Bridge State Historic Site marks the site of one of the Confederacy’s last stands against General William T. Sherman’s sweep across the South. Of all the Civil War Sites in South Carolina, Rivers Bridge is the only site home to a preserved battlefield.

  • National Register of Historic Places: Yes
  • Designation: National Register
  • When & How PRT Acquired: Donated in 1945 by the Confederate Memorial Association
