Camping

  • Camping Information: Enjoy camping on the shores of Lake Hartwell. 52 sites are packed gravel with individual water and electrical hookups. Some sites accommodate RV's up to 40 feet. While tent campers may use the water and electrical site, a designated tent camping area includes central water. The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers.

  • Camping Reservations: To make a camping reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or visit our reservations page by clicking here. Rates vary by season and demand and are subject to change.

    Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights.

    Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

    For example:
    If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.
  • Standard Sites with Elec. & Water: 51 sites
  • Designated Tent Sites: 14 sites
  • Dump Station: Yes
  • Primitive Group Area: The primitive group camping area is ideal for organized youth groups of up to 50 people.

    (An organized youth group is defined as a youth group that holds regular meetings and has a lead officer or elected/appointed officials. Ex. Boy scouts, girl scouts, church youth groups)

    The area includes picnic tables, fire ring, central water and nearby restoom facilities.

    Reservations are accepted. To make a primitive youth group camping reservation, contact the park directly.

    Minimum rate is $13.50 which allows up to ten campers. The rate increases by $5-6.50 increments for each additional five campers.
