Winter Camping is Cheap at Coastal Parks

For those up North seeking an escape from the bitter cold, and those down South looking to get in a coastal camping trip without the pesky mosquitos and bugs that come along with the muggy summers, now is the time to take advantage of South Carolina State Park’s Snowbird Camping Special. For only $300 you can rent a campsite at any of the four coastal state parks for a 30-day period.

Winter weather in South Carolina is incredibly mild and camping in the colder months allows guests to enjoy their site without the same crowds the warmer months see. Not only will campers be able to enjoy quieter campsites, but all of the parks’ activities and amenities will also be available.

These deals are only available at Myrtle Beach, Huntington Beach, Edisto Beach and Hunting Island state parks, and you only have until Feb. 1 to make your 30-day reservation, so it’s time to get planning. All you have to do is call the park you wish to stay at and mention you’re interested in the 30-day Snowbird Special. The entire amount must be paid up front and there are no refunds for early departure. Additional fees will be included for sites with sewer hookups. For more details, and information on how to make your reservation, see the Park Deals page.
