Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet.

There is also a dog park available at Sesquicentennial State Park. The dog park is a 2-acre, fenced-in area for dogs to run off-leash.

To access the off-leash dog park, a permit is required for each dog, available at the park office. Permits are $25/year, and are pro-rated depending on the date of purchase. Permits expire on July 1 of each year. Daily permits are available for $4.

Important Notice! Dog must be present for photo identification to obtain dog park permit. Owners must provide current vaccination records showing proof of spayed/neutered, rabies, parvo and kennel cough. Dog permits do not include admission into the park.

Camping

  • Camping Information: Camping Information: Each site is packed sand or gravel and has water, picnic table, and fire ring. Sites 1-29 have 20/30/50 amp electric, with sites 1-9 being full service with sewer. Sites 36-84 have 20/30 amp electric, 9 of which also have a lantern hook. The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. Three sites are equipped with tent pads. These pads provide a sand surface and can accommodate tents up to 10 x 10 ft.
  • Camping Reservations: To make a camping reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or visit our reservations page by clicking here. Rates vary by season and demand and are subject to change.

    Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights.

    Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

    For example:
    If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.

  • Primitive Group Area: A primitive group camping area is ideal for organized groups up to 50 people. (An organized group is defined as a group that holds regular meetings and has a lead officer or elected/appointed officials.) Central water is available. Walking distance to restrooms. Showers not available. All 5 primitive sites now have hammock stands. Reservations are accepted. To make a primitive group camping reservation, contact the park directly.
